The low-water conditions on massive Lake
Okeechobee has helped the fishing by congregating the fish into
smaller areas making them easier to catch!
I
have put together some October 2000 Florida bass fishing guide
reports of Florida bass that were caught while wild shiner fishing
on Lake Okeechobee by anglers from across the United States.
Our Florida bass fishing guide reports are also cataloged under
each month they were caught during the 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999
and 1998 calendar years. A guide fishing report on amount of
bass caught, area caught on Lake Okeechobee and other information
is listed with each Florida bass fishing guide report. To ensure
validity the angler's name, address, phone number and e-mail
address is also listed with every guide fishing report.

Bass Fishing - October 31 - Nov. 1, 2000 Guide Fishing Report

bass up to 5 lbs during
2 half days (Oct. 31 - Nov. 1) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide
Service. Bass were caught in the Harney Pond canal area of Lake
Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Bass Fishing - October 28 & 29, 2000 Guide Fishing Report

Joe Filo (Dunellen, NJ - ph: 732-968-2397) and Dave Nardi caught

bass up to 3 1/2 lbs during
2 half days (Oct. 28 & 29, 2000) of shiner fishing with Ron's
Guide Service. Bass were caught in The Harney Pond canal area
of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Bass Fishing - October 27 & 28, 2000 Guide Fishing Report

and Matt Critch (Billerica, MA - ph: 978-667-5477) caught about 24 bass up to 3 lbs during 2 days (Oct. 27 & 28, 2000)
of bass fishing with wild shiners and topwater artificial lures
with Cap'n Ron. Above 24 good size crappie were also caught on
minnos. Bass and crappie were caught in the Monkey Box area of
Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Dear Ron,
We can't thank you enough for our fishing guide and the experience.
I believe we caught about 15 bass and Tony caught the largest.
His bass weight about 7 lbs. Everyone here has seen the picture
and though that it is big. Our guide did everything possible for
me to try to catch a big one, but it was Tony's day. I did catch
a 6 lb. mud fish, and I was excited but our guide told me it didn't
count. I stated it's a fish. In fact I caught about four of those
guys. I was really excited when I hit a largemouth that was 15
feet away and it jumped right out of the water, just like in the
movies. It was strange seeing the alligator head and eyes pop
up about 20 feet away. We both say thank you ever so much. You
may see us again because we will probably be moving to Florida
in two years or so. After catching those bass we will now have
a hard time fishing here in Illinois for bass. They just don't
grow that big up here. We will refer your services to all our
fishing buddies.

Bass Fishing - October 16 & 17, 2000 Guide Fishing Report
Bass fishermen Walter Hankosky
(Venice, FL - ph: 941-497-4311) caught 26 bass that up to 5 lbs during 2 half days (Oct 16 & 17, 2000)
of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. This was Walter's
second bass fishing trip with us. During his first trip he caught
a 7 1/2 lb'er. Bass were caught in the Harney Pond canal areas
of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

All bass were released. This couple also when out on a wild boar
hunting trip with us before fishing. Jim bagged a wild boar hog
that had inch and the hald tusks while Becky video taped the
action
