Report: November 2000

The low-water conditions on massive Lake Okeechobee has helped the fishing by congregating the fish into smaller areas making them easier to catch!

I have put together some November 2000 Florida bass fishing reports of Florida bass that were caught while wild shiner fishing on Lake Okeechobee by anglers from across the United States. Our Florida bass fishing reports are also cataloged under each month they were caught during the 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999 and 1998 calendar years. A fishing report on amount of bass caught, area caught on Lake Okeechobee and other information is listed with each Florida bass fishing report. To ensure validity the angler's name, address, phone number and e-mail address is also listed with every fishing report.

Florida Bass Fishing - November 21 & 22, 2000 Fishing Report

Ivana Bosnjak (St. Louis, MO - ph: 314-892-0902) caught 12 bass up to 3 lbs during 2 half days (Nov. 21 & 22) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the Harney Pond canal area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing - November 21, 2000 Guide Fishing Report

Scott Mohr (Glenwood, NJ - ph: 973-764-3204) caught 17 bass up to 4 lbs during a half day (Nov. 21) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the Harney Pond canal area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing - November 17, 2000 Guide Fishing Report

Kevin Wortmann (Jax., FL - ph: 904-273-3843) caught 15 bass up to 5 1/2 lbs during 1 full day (Nov. 17) of artificial lure fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the Harney Pond canal area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing - November 7, 2000 Guide Fishing Report

Joe Olszewski and his dad Gary (Dexter, NY - e-mail: MOCSEA815@aol.com) caught about 30 bass that included two 6 lb'ers and a 7 lb. trophy bass during 1 full day (Nov. 7) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the Harney Pond canal area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Jim Epps & Mary (Barnesville, GA - e-mail: SoEastBikr@aol.com) caught about 20 bass up to 3 lbs during 2 half days (Nov. 11 & 12) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the Harney Pond canal area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Hey Ron, We had the most wonderful time with Randy and can't wait to hook up
with him again. I would've gotten back to you before now but, I've printed
out the digital pictures from my camera and I've been bragging to everyone
about the paradise I've found in and around the Lake Okeechobee area. If ever
get in the position to move there, I will. I reckon we caught between 15 and
20 fish. Some were cats, some were mudfish (bowfins) but, most were bass and
my ol lady ended up catching the largest bass at about 3 lbs. I wanted to beat
my 7 lb personal record but, with the lake being down we couldn't get over to
the primo spots and did most of our fishing in the canal and had a big time
just the same. Here's the picture of the biggest one caught.

Bass were caught in the Harney Pond canal, Twin Pond canal and Fisheating creek areas of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.
