Report: February 2000

I have put together some February 2000 Florida bass fishing reports of Florida bass that were caught while wild shiner fishing on Lake Okeechobee by anglers from across the United States. Our Florida bass fishing reports are also cataloged under each month they were caught during the 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999 and 1998 calendar years. A fishing report on amount of bass caught, area caught on Lake Okeechobee and other information is listed with each Florida bass fishing report. To ensure validity the angler's name, address, phone number and e-mail address is also listed with every fishing report.

Florida Bass Fishing - February 28 & 29, 2000 Fishing Report

John Trudel (Cliffwood Beach, NJ - ph: 732-290-0147) and Alex Szabo (West Keansburg, NJ - ph: 732-787-0058) caught 19 Florida bass that included a 7 lb and 6 1/2 lb'er during 2 days (Feb. 28 & 29, 2000) of Florida wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. They fished the Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing - February 28, 2000 Fishing Report

Ben Ramsey (Naples, FL - ph: 941-348-2723) caught 29 bass up to 9 lbs during 1 day (Feb. 28, 2000) of wild shiner Florida bass fishing with Ron's Guide Service. They fished the Moonshine, North Shore and Monkey Box areas of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing - February 27 & 28, 2000 Fishing Report

Chad Bain (Bowling Green, OH - e-mail: HeadProFCC@aol.com) and Steve Hayes (Ontario, Canada) caught about 20 Florida bass that included a 8 1/2 lb'er during 2 half days (Feb. 27 & 28, 2000) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. They fished the Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing - February 26, 2000 Fishing Report

Chris Bozarth (Henderson, NV - ph: 702-566-4771) and Ric Fregoso (Henderson, NV - ph: 702-558-9965) caught 32 bass that included ten Florida bass that were in the 5 lb. class during 1 day (Feb. 26, 2000) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. They fished the North Trail area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing - February 20 - 21, 2000 Fishing Report

Don Sims (Trinity, AL - e-mail: Simstruck2@aol.com) and Dusty Sims (Decatur, AL) caught 68 Florida bass that included two 6 lb'ers which each one of them landed during 3 days (Feb. 20 - 21, 2000) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. They fished the Moonshine and North Shore areas of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing - February 19 & 20, 2000 Fishing Report

Shawn Dulany (Waynesburg, PA - ph: 724-627-7611) caught about 35 bass up to 5 lbs during 2 days (Feb. 19 & 20, 2000) of artificial lure and wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. They fished the North Shore and Monkey Box areas of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing - February 17 - 19, 2000 Fishing Report

Allen Smith (Ft. Mill, SC - ph: 803-366-2850) and Tom Byrum (Charlotte, NC - ph: 704-532-8845) caught 43 Florida bass that included a 6 lb, 6 1/4 lb, 6 1/2 lb and 6 3/4 lb'er during 3 days (Feb. 17 - 19, 2000) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. They fished the Moonshine, Monkey Box and North Shore areas of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Grandma Knoxie Crocker (Savannah, GA - ph: 912-772-3980) and her Gransons 16 year-old Jason and 15 year-old Mike Hawkin caught 20 Florida bass that included two 6 lb'ers each of the boys caught during 2 half days (Feb. 17 & 18, 2000) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. They fished the Moonshine and Monkey Box areas of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing - February 16 - 18, 2000 Fishing Report

Carl Crouch (Inapls., IN - ph: 317-209-0259) and Dave Leffler (Thorntown, IN - ph: 765-436-2452) caught 75 bass up to 5 1/2 lbs during 3 days (Feb. 16 - 18, 2000) of Florida wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. They fished the Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Ron and Janet Hummingbird (Broken Arrow, OK - ph: 918-455-7446) caught 51 Florida bass 5 1/2 lbs during 3 days (Feb. 14 - 16, 2000) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. They fished the Moonshine, Monkey Box and North Shore areas of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Ken Brewer (Dayton, OH - e-mail: loxleybros@usa.net) and Mike Moore (Dayton, OH) caught 26 Florida bass that included a 6 1/4 lb and 6 lb'er during 2 days (Feb. 12 & 13, 2000) of shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. They fished the Moonshine and Monkey Box areas of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing - February 6, 2000 Fishing Report

John and Arnika Jackson (Hialeah, FL - ph: 305-828-6676) caught 5 Florida bass up to 6 1/2 lbs during a half day (Feb. 6, 2000) of shiner fishing with Captain Ron. John caught the 6 1/2 lb'er in a lily pad field in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.
