party of 4 fishermen in 2 guide boats caught 67 bass up to 6
lbs during 1 and the half days (Jan. 19 & 20, 2000) of wild
shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Mike Cottrill caught
the 6 lb'er. They fished the North Shore and Monkey Box areas
of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.
Florida bass angler and
wild boar bow hunter Andy Cole (Portage, WI - ph: 608-429-9918)
caught about 10 bass up to 6 1/4 lbs during a half day (Jan.
19, 2000) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass
was caught on the North Shore of Lake Okeechobee. The next morning
(January 20, 2000) Andy went bow hunting for wild boar with me
and my guides. He killed a good sized hog with his bow during

and Mark Nichols (Lexington, KY - ph: 606-224-9630) caught 32
bass that included a 6 lb and 7 lb'er during 1 day (Jan. 15,
2000) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Ben caught
the 6 lb'er. They fished the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.

Coons (Front Royal, VA - ph: 540-631-0713) and Jeff Holsinjer
(Marshall, VA - ph: 540-364-7668) caught 35 Florida bass up to
6 lbs during 1 and the 1/2 days (Jan. 13 & 14, 2000) of wild
shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Brain caught the 6 lb'er.
They fished the Hay Field area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were

Alford and 12 year-old son Brandon (Sarasota, FL - ph: 941-346-5422
- e-mail: alford@wayna.rcp.net.pe) caught 24 Florida bass up to 6 lbs during
2 half days (Jan. 4 & 5, 2000) of wild shiner fishing with
Ron's Guide Service. Brandon caught the 6 lb'er. They fished
the Moonshine and Monkey Box areas of Lake Okeechobee. All bass
were released.
